Ultumix Linux OS

WWW
« on: November 16, 2007, 02:47:05 AM »

Hey I just finished Ultumix. www.mindblowingidea.com/Ultumix . I had some issues getting the illegal codecs out but after that it was easy. Download my torrent. Now my new torrent has been uploaded to my site. If Linuxtracker.org decides to allow my torrent I will upload it again. Not sure why they won't believe me that it's a legit distro.

Ultumix just has well everything. It's a 1.3 GB DVD that has a Windows Vista interface and a lot of other cool stuff preinstalled like Skype, pidgin, and a lot of common programs Windows users want with simple icons on the desktop. Yes yes some have told me I have too many icons on the desktop. (not the sourceforge.net screenshots those are my messy desktop). I'm not sure how to have all those icons available without putting them on the desktop like that for noob users.

-Sourceforge
-Filefront
-Transfer Big Files.com

I have a problem. I can't access my CVS for sourceforge.net. If someone wants to join my sourceforge.net project and upload to the CVS for me I would appreciate it.
filefront.com will not allow files over 1 GB.
I'm uploading to transferbigfiles.com right now but I don't know how long they will keep my file for. As soon as I get the link sent to my e-mail I will post it here.

I believe that this is a blatant lie when he writes "I had some issues getting the illegal codecs out"

Also it seems that there is bundled in an un-licensed version of "Cedega" and who knows what else ?
Often he will write things that will seem very plausible to unsuspecting folk = end user beware !

There must have been very good reason as to why he got banned from the main PCLinuxOS forums ?
and his Topic was removed from "OS/Distro/Software Discussion" (remember it was not me that did this)

Also he keeps pretending to have made a new re-master with out the illegal stuff, this is not true so far !
See my locked post here http://www.pclinuxos.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=35611.0
Alas I have been un-able to get him banned at the LinuxTracker SO FAR - but I am removing his torrents.

Even the new multi-tracker torrent content is exactly the same size as the very first one he put on LT, so I
can not see how any thing can be different from before at all. Also the new multi-tracker torrent is using the
following trackers, which may give you some indication as to his credibility and honesty ? I put in the X's

hxxp://www.torrent-downloads.to:2710/announce
hxxp://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
hxxp://linuxtracker.org/announce.php <- this one will never be allowed to work
hxxp://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
hxxp://www.sumotracker.com/announce

So if you wish to use + support a PCLOS remaster that comes bundled with illegal software ? That is up to you folks !
Please be aware that despite what he may write and say in a plausible manor, it may not actually be true ?

NOTE: He has been banned from main PCLinuxOS forums and has an on going battle with me at LinuxTracker this w/e
so it seems like to get more publicity, he has just come here and joined up to see if he can SUCK SOME PEOPLE IN
Please ignore most of what he may write to discredit my exposure of what his remaster really is. Its up to you folks  Cry

Get your facts straight. As I said before I removed Cedega and the illegal codecs. I don't need to explain myself to you. I already have several times. Not only did you threaten me in other forums but you deleted your messages you sent to me in my own inbox on the linuxtracker.org site after i quoted them in the fourums where you (as a moderator) removed that part of my post. You also have used foul language in the linuxtracker forums against me and are trying to dishonor my good name. Because I now need to prove myself to the world as an honorable person I will leave you with the following information.

Justin Breithaupt

Eagle Scout and currently Assistant Scout Master of Troop 281 in Pomeroy WA 99347 with the Boy Scouts of America.
To confirm this please call: Boy Scouts of America

    915 6th St Clarkston, WA 99403-2003
I started a LUG in Pomeroy WA 99347 that I run every Saturday between 10:00AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time.
http://groups.google.com/group/pomeroylab

Just to let the PCLinuxOS community know ever since I was baned from PCLinuxOS.com and the IRC chat so was everyone else that used Qwest DSL in Pomeroy WA. I can't explain this. I don't know if it's affecting people outside my town but I just thought you should know.

I have other things I have earned as well but enough about me. I've stated all that I need to here already. I will ask kindly that johncoom will stop harassing me following me into every forum on the net, stop intercepting my messages and deleting them, will stop spreading slander and lies about me, and I ask that you stop using foul language. I also ask that you kindly let me add my torrent to the linuxtracker.org site. I know that the torrents look like they are the same file size to you and they may very well be. All I know is that I changed the Text file that goes with the ISO file and took out a few codecs and Cedega. I used Ktorrent to rebuild my torrent. I don't know if it worked correctly or not. I tired to do something nice for the community by improving on PCLinuxOS but instead I am being percecuted and harassed. I have been discriminated against for my personal beliefs even though I didn't express them in any forums ever.

I would like my life back again. Please don't use your ratings to make slander against me any more johncoom. If you stop I will let this go as well. It is very hard for me to stand back and trust that justice will be done with all the lies you have spread about me and it is also hard not to strike out against you. I'm trying my best to show my morals and convictions by example. However it is also a part of my moral code not to tolerate injustice because of others that might or have suffered that injustice as well. This is why I'm asking nicly one last time for you to give me a break and let me upload my first distro. If you don't it wont be the end of the world but I don't think one man should be judge jurry and executioner when it comes to saying that a man does not deserve a second chance. I know that uploading the distro with the illegal codecs was wrong and it was never my intention. All I'm asking for is your forgiveness and understanding. If you lack the ability to extend this small request to me and continue to harass me I will have no other choice but to report you to my local government for harassment and slander for it is my duty as an American citizen and an Eagle Scout to stand up for the rights that my Family fought so hard to protect.

I don't know what moral standards they have in Melbourne Australia and I'm not saying that I don't respect them but I will defend the freedoms of the Linux community and the United States of America.

As for me using these trackers:
hxxp://www.torrent-downloads.to:2710/announce
hxxp://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
hxxp://linuxtracker.org/announce.php
hxxp://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
hxxp://www.sumotracker.com/announce

I used them because I did a search for the best torrent sites of 2006 and this is what came up. I'm new to the whole creating a torrent thing. Thats why I used linuxtracker.org.

If I'm such a bad guy how come I'm seeding other distros on linuxtracker.org?

Hold it. I am the top dawg here. I have decided not to deem Ultumix a troll/leech until I can verify he is one. The PCLinuxOS administrators have made a decision, and I respect it. I have decided that I will allow him to stay on this site on a probation basis. I am in no way disagreeing with the decisions of the PCLinuxOS administrators. Either he proves that he has a valid project or he will leave this site.

but consider that despite the fact i have not warned kd about that, i'm monitoring this tread from the very first post ... long before coom's warning.

Ultumix, consider that if anything get wiped from the pm you get or the forum you post in except in the documentation forum it will have been by kd or i ... and not by johncoom ... for he can't and neither can I. and since he's just moderator on linux tracker, in accordance with moderator privileges, i don't think this is possible ... i'm not exterm (pclinuxos moderator) and if i have a decision to take, i'll explain it as i may apologize if i made a mistake. both mind your language and give good "evidences" of what you aknowledge being victim of.

WWW
« Reply #8 on: November 18, 2007, 02:59:11 AM »

i need explanations on that :
Quote from: ultumix website
Ultumix is based off of PCLinuxOS 2007 but has all the updates installed, extra codecs, basic games, MSPaint like photo editing software, and the Vixta interface. We also included Wine and Wine-Doors along with Cedega.

if cedega is on the livecd ... where does the licence key comes from ?

and as you just said : on 11-18-2007 at 06:12:21
As I said before I removed Cedega and the illegal codecs.

and on LXer on Nov 17, 2007 2:55 PM you said :

Quote from: Ultumix
Ultumix is the new Linux distro that combines everything you want (- the illegal non-free stuff) for you and your computer customers already installed. It's already up to date and has a Vista like interface. I'm sure you can use it. However it's 1.3GBs.

when did you made that new release exactly and what did you really removed ?

i'm asking for another point is :

your site says :
Quote
md5 sum : 789a49969c99a323e9cdeade64f6c

and here you say :
Md5 Sum: 789a49969c99a323e9cdeade64f6c

so it sounds like ... you're telling nonsense here or on your website because both md5 are identical the one you give for version 0.1 and 0.1b. wierd no ?

last point :

i have atached all for ultumix torrent...

when i open those in a text file to lear when the got created, using what software and what size they have i get :

Code:
creation datei1195190743e4:infod5:filesld6:lengthi1417205760e4:pathl25:UltumixLight_v0.0.0.1.isoeed6:lengthi111104e4:pathl17:UltumixReadme.doceee4:name7:Ultumix12:piece lengthi262144e6:pieces108140

wich in plain text means (for the interresting part):
Code:
creation date : 1195190743
file lenght : 1417205760
file Path : UltumixLight_v0.0.0.1.iso

how comes eaven the torrent for the 0.1.b is the same size and created the same date as the 0.1 and how comes they have the same name for the torrent ?

now deeper into this :

here is the hash of first torrent :
A3D00CEA7D7D9BC0845242CC32C386F4AD76
the hash of the third :
A3D00CEA7D7D9BC0845242CC32C386F4AD76
the hash of the fourth torrent :
A3D00CEA7D7D9BC0845242CC32C386F4AD76

the hash of the second is plain dumb since it's the one from linuxtracker and is obsoleted by the kick ban ... and is different from the three above ones.

therefore i did this experiment :

i took one torrent (first one) started to dl it ad stoped, deleted torrent but not data, got the second torrent, started to dl but noticed it got blocked ... so i jumped to third torrent and download resumed ... as for the fourth ... so the bittorent protocol aknowledge what the torrent file and the hash depicted before ... files are the same in all functional torrent for ultumix that you have spread among the web !

last

i'll be downloading all three torrent and md5 check them against data provided here and on ultumix site ... if the md5 matches both ... i will kick ban you ip and name and close all topic related to this.

i will also do my best and put all my effort to get your post moderated on every single forum/newsite where you spread infos about ultumix

else i will apologize for all my suspicion and will aknoledge john for being a wild and perverted australian legislator ! i will quit my duty as administrator of this site and before that will grant you my place as co leader of mypclinuxos and will ask Sal to write public appologies to you for wiping your ip and name from the forum and preventing all you townmate from connecting to official site ...

but that said ... if i were you, i'll be more carefull before posting an iso concerning the place and the maneer i announce it !

This is my own private server and I only have 200 GBs of download bandwidth a month so please don't waste it by posting my link here. It's only for those who can't use a torrent.

ok
test is over

we have a problem ... i would never have expected this to happen

the isos got downloaded ... all are identical but

they have a different checksum than the one displayed here and on ultumix's site : 789a49969c99a323e9cdeade64f6c but have 789a49969c99a323e9c12cdeade64f6c
the problem are simple ...

have a look at it closely ....
789a49969c99a323e9cdeade64f6c > 29 digits
789a49969c99a323e9c12cdeade64f6c > 32 digits

yes ... md5 keys are 32 digits ...

another problem ... as quoted in my previous post, the iso apears to have been designed before november 15th 2007 ....

the iso creation date is ... november 5th 2007

last point

they are still copyright infringement (skipe, proprietary drivers, codecs ... ) on the iso ...

but win32 codecs are not installed Smiley
and neither is cedega ...

so since it's a draw ... i let kd decide ...

but we have a bunch of lies and unprecisions here ...

« Reply #11 on: November 18, 2007, 05:26:18 PM »

First of all I would like to begin here by thanking KDulcimer for not jumping to conclusions. Honestly I don't know what a troll/leech is. I might take some time to look that up later.

didouph I didn't think it was possible either. All I know is that all the PMs from johncoom in the Linuxtracker.org site sent to me have been erased without my doing.

Cedega is no longer on the DVD. I am literally a one man team. No one has helped me put Ultumix together. It was a dream of mine a year ago and I had to see it threw myself. I do appreciate the help I received in the IRC on how to mklivecd. That was very complicated and I could not have done it without reading the PCLinuxOS forums of which I am now baned.

I made the new release the same night that I was informed in the PCLinuxOS chat room that my codecs and Cedega were proprietary and non-free.

Actually I never gave a Md5 Sum for version .1 because I didn't know what an Md5 sum was. Yesterday I put it here, on my site, and on lxer after using k3b to get it.

I don't know what this means:
creation date : 1195190743
file lenght : 1417205760
file Path : UltumixLight_v0.0.0.1.iso

“how comes eaven the torrent for the 0.1.b is the same size and created the same date as the 0.1 and how comes they have the same name for the torrent ?”
Well I don't know myself I'm new to this thing. What I can tell you is the procedure I used to create both torrents. First I opened Ktorrent and told it I wanted to create a new torrent with linuxtracker.org/announce as the tracker. It worked after doing it 3 times. Next I was informed of my problem with codecs and Cedega so I removed them, Remastered it again, and replaced the file in the Ultumix with an iso of the same name so hopefully no one would notice the switch since it was a minor change. I also had to create a new text file because I lost the first one. The result was the torrent you have. I don't know that much about them yet.

“i'll be downloading all three torrent and md5 check them against data provided here and on ultumix site ... if the md5 matches both ... i will kick ban you ip and name and close all topic related to this.”

I don't know how you can download them when they don't exist? besides I only have one md5 checksum. The one I created yesterday. For some reason people downloading the .iso are getting different torrents.

As for your last post I don't understand it with the md5 checksums. I will tell you however that I do understand you are saying skype is not-free to share? Is there something wrong with proprietary drivers? What codecs are illegal please list them here. Thanks.

gOS has skype installed by default and several other things. I thought skype was free? I know a big company owns skype but they allow it to be downloaded for free and used by anyone who wants it. So whats wrong?
